toasting fork? by jantan

toasting fork?

I wanted to take some shots inside our village church today, but there were people working in there.

I used to only go in for weddings and funerals, now it's weddings funerals and photographs.

So I had a look around outside. I spotted that these two windows each have what looks like a vertical toasting fork incorporated into them..... just a toasting fork, or some kind of religious symbolism?

Hmm...looks a bit creepy to me. But lovely shot!

Great detail! Not sure what the fork is all about though.

Great angle and love the blue reflection on the glass :-)

Love the colours here. Could be a trident? Can't really see. Prefer the idea of a toasting fork. Maybe something to do with Hell.

@joannapayne it only had two prongs Joanna, the window next to it had one exactly the same too. hmmmmm???

Pitchfork? It's a rural area, right? If you can get inside another time, churches usually have a little history sheet which might mention them. I really want to know now!

I always like a good church. You never know what you will find, inside or out. Love the angle.

Yep, toasting fork with bread and the marshmallows are up in the top left corner, flat sides facing each other.

Beautiful shot. Old churches (and old buildings in general) have so many photogenic nuances.
