Indian Pipes by jayberg

Indian Pipes

Indian Pipes have no chlorophyll, it can't make its own food like most plants. Therefore, it has to "borrow" nutrients, either from decaying plant matter, or from another organism.
We used to call them Ghost Pipes. Good memories. Nice capture.

Not sure how I missed this one. Fascinating plant with great detail in the shot. Is it like a mushroom?
