"Five Million Years to Earth"

So I'm a big sci fi fan and a favorite is this Bernard Quatermass classic (in Britain "Quatermass and the Pit") where he and Dr. Roney investigate an ancient alien spacecraft buried beneath a section of London and unearthed during the construction of the Underground. Turns out it rouses the spirits of giant Martian grasshoppers that came to Earth in prehistoric times and the usual mayhem ensues
Hey, Jay. That is quite the extraordinary macro shot. I'm not a bug person per se. But this one has to be a fav. Splendid job.

@mbrutus @dawnee @aglennc Thanks. I was just walking along and this guys was in the middle of the sidewalk so I decided to "get down and get personal" which gave me the better view. Would have liked to shoot a little more up and get some background buildings for some forced perspective but he had different ideas and hopped away. This is definitely an iPhone shot -- I am finding it difficult to drag out my big camera for my mid day break from work walks. Will be trying the Sony W300 point and shoot as well.

@jaybutterfield I wish I could get down to this guy's level anymore to get photos. However..... I get down these days, I don't get up.
