A Clockwork Orange

My second attempt to meet the challenge from @brett101 "to take a photograph and turn it into a cover for a favorite book".

"A Clockwork Orange" for those not familiar with the book ( or the 1971 motion picture) paints a bleak picture of a dytopian England straining under the boot of a Soviet Union that has dominated Western Europe and the youth violence culture in an otherwise impotent society. The book challenges concepts of freedom, humanity, and authority and how we continually fool ourselves that feckless politicians and lack of principal can drive society to its lowest denominator.

This shot is a composite, a more conventional approach to the challenge, and perhaps a bit of a cliche.

"Queer as a clockwork orange -- an organic entity, full of juice and sweetness and agreeable odour, being turned into a mechanism." -- Anthony Burgess
