Life and Death

Beautiful cacti and other succulents line a major boulevard near our house all planted by an unknown volunteer landscaper. They have grown enormously and bloom every spring (in the background), but eventually they give up the ghost

Ones in the back are very pretty with their blooms. The ones in the front detract somewhat from that.
