I've always been interested in photography since getting my first camera a Kodak Tele-Instamatic with the Flip Flash yearrrrssss ago. So now that I'm...
A lovely capture of these confections. They look very similar to cookies my mother made called pecan balls. I liked them a lot and have made them in the past. Might be a recipe I need to drag out.
@randystreat
Thank you Kathy. My mother-in-law made a similar cookie that was shaped in a crescent form but the taste was the same. I imagine that recipes can be the same but shapes can change and then so does the name. :)
Apparently, these cookies go by many different names. I made them (gluten-free) for the first time this year and they ARE yummy! My sis used to make them and gave me the recipe "Mexican Wedding Rings". I knew they were also called Russian Tea Cakes. The recipe I found online was called "Snowball Cookies". :-) These look delicious displayed and photographed on your pretty plate!
Wonderful food shot! My mother used to make these too but I forget what we called them. Maybe pecan balls. Definitely makes me want to dig out the recipe.
Trying to find a box to put some in for you. ;)
P.s. I used the SCN food mode to take the picture.
Possibly taste similar too. These have chopped walnuts though.
That’s a nice compliment bep. :)
Thanks, I’m trying ;)

Thank you Milanie. It was the light coming in through my kitchen window.
