New and Old

Each winter we take in a hot pepper plant which is grown in a large pot. It’s stored in our basement in a sunny window. This morning I noticed that the plant is starting to bud and had a few flowers. First a pretty little flower appears and then it’s replaced by a hot chili pepper. In the photo I’ve taken a picture of the new bud and the old stem of a pepper.
