Sept. 9th is Hiroshi Miyamura Day in Gallup. Born and raised in Gallup, Miyamura is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient for his heroic actions during the Korean war.
He is actively involved in promoting education and good citizenship for the youth of America. Although he is very humble, he has done a lot in his life to be proud of.
