This was taken with phone at Waddesdon Manor on a recent visit there. Certain rooms had trees decorated in individual Christmas themes and the tree decorations varied from different sorts of metals, china and many other things.. Very inventive and beautiful. They were huge, about 12 ft high and kept in large tubs of water from 1st November until after New Year. They were specially cut while growing to give a pyramid shape. We weren't allowed to take photos because of the flash but this was tucked away in a corridor. Not the best photo, but it does show the book tree.
@dulciknit he probably would, there was even a tree made of paper in origami style. The evening lights in the garden were striking too. Think you are National Trust members? You may need to book time to tour the decorated house rooms.
@netkonnexion such a lot of creative and clever ideas re the decorations there, the trees, corridors and stairways, worth a visit. Libraries are such great places, especially now. As a child I remember having to almost tiptoe around a library!
good colourful christmas tree and good p.o.v fav
Potter world is also on our list to visit sometime.
