The moon, Jupiter and Venus at Sunset

I'm so annoyed! I have lost TWO, yes, two of my tripod pieces that connect my camera to the tripod. I can't find them ANYWHERE. I want to cry. But it was so beautiful out tonight that I had to take a picture of the moon, Jupiter and Venus so close. I hate that I had to use the highest ISO that I have since I hand held it. So it's noisy.
Very cool - Love the rich colors behind the trees as well as the planets!

Please look at my upload in my 2nd album.. I said moom and evening star...but it was below the moon just like in your picture.. did I catch Jupiter? love your picture because is also shows the foreground with the trees and the sunset....fav.

Tripod or not, it's still a great capture! The lingering sunset colors at the horizon are a great contrast to the dark sky.

Gorgeous compositions and colors. I'm laughing that your disappointed in this because with one glance I was thinking, "Damn I need to step up my game and start actually trying again - look how gorgeous this is!"

Sucks about losing the tripod parts! I hope you find them - or that they are inexpensive to replace. :)

I really love the gradual colour changes in the sky :)

Awesome shot!!!

My 3 year old daughter grabbed a piece from my tripod and declared that it was her "lucky stone". It was no fun trying to take it away from her.
