@lindag - I'm going! Are you going too? I go every year & love it! Well, except for parking!!! I can't wait! I keep checking the bloom forecast. Did you hear that it is supposed to be in the 70's and I even heard possibly 80 this week?! That will really get them going!
@jenp I actually haven't been there in years. (Used to live very close and went all the time, and then life changed and you know..) But I am hoping to figure out a way in this time. Now sure yet when. So far they're saying peak the last week of March. I'm betting sooner.
I google it but all I leared is that the tree grow to 20 meters hight..the blossoms were too small to identify...but it very well be a Yoshino cherry. beautiful.
It brings me to Japan with the sakura....
@bruni - I googled it too, and the closest picture ID I could come to was a Yoshino. I'm pretty sure that's what it is...
