Took this a few days ago but today I tried it in b&w. I think it still looks like winter and having the leaves look white instead of brown and no longer competing with the colors behind it shows off the leaf shapes and vein patterns better.
I agree - B+W does an excellent job at unifying colours and isolating shapes. Well done!

I agree as well, I've always felt that B&W gives a better chance for textures to play a strong roll. Lovely DoF.
