...comes into the world on Christmas... as the saying goes.
In earlier days, people celebrated this time when the days become longer. They worshipped the invincible sun god and the light that warms on dark winter days.
The night in which the light comes into the world...
This light may shine for all human beings...
may warm heart and soul...
every day...
And my thoughts go in a special way to the places
where injustice prevails,
where the weak are oppressed,
where people suffer from violence,
where love has grown cold...

Yes, the snow was wonderful that day - grainy and loose. I had best conditions for a tour. With snowshoes I can make my own tracks across the pristine snow. The sun was still low, and every snowcorn cast a clear shadow.
And I love the backlight.

It took me a while to find a few words... Where and how... I'm afraid it must be inadequate... It affects me deeply that a picture can touch a chord within the viewer.
