An example of the many neat facades on Burano. They are well kept (also for the tourists, I assume), but breath Italian easiness and serenity in the use of colours and forms. The openly laundry gives the whole a casual touch.This is, in my view, a pleasant part of everyday life and culture in Venice.
Well I am here to catch up, and have no hope of viewing everything but this is the first pleasure to greet me as I post my new contribution. So you are in Venice Jerome? Happy travels. What a wonderful depiction of the ordinary. Such an unusual choice for Venice, but one I like very much.

No, I am currently not in Venice (unfortunately ...). In the last December I decided to show some of my Venice pictures. It's almost exactly a year ago that I was there. Venice has its own charisma in winter. I am very happy when there is something you like.
Lovely. I love the laundry hanging out to dry. My kids were excited in Italy - we had an AirBnb apartment that looked almost like this and could hang out laundry out.
For me, being from the often wet and drab north of England this sumptuously coloured image screams out - continental Europe. It is warm and inviting and i love the composition too
@shylaine3304 To visit Venice - this is a good idea. Venice is a special experience. You can look at it in pictures - it actually seen, felt, heard and breathed is something different.
@golftragic Yes, I am also interested in the "normal life" of Venice. Certainly, there are the wonderful and impressive Palazzi, the Piazza San Marco, the Rialto Bridge,... but there is also another Venice: a quieter Venice of the side streets and the everyday life of the Venetians.
