enjoying the shadow

In the midday heat the animals look for every shadow that is offered.

Etosha NP, Namibia
This is perfect and I like the symmetry you have here.

I am not sure how I have managed to miss so many from you Jerome. Now to catch up. This has such gorgeous natural colours and is a perfect use of symmetry to add mystery to the composition rather than take it away (which is so often the case). I don't know if that makes sense?

It's like parking a car in Phoenix....everyone parks under the barest sliver of shade from a light post.

Love that, one tree each! Beautiful shot.

My boys come home today - they have been skiing in your homeland at St Anton am Arlberg and loving it. Still just enough snow at the upper levels.

The first thing that popped into my mind was Noah's Ark and the animals going in two by two. Another perfect image from your trip.

@casablanca Skiing in St. Anton am Arlberg - your boys can be lucky. It is the largest and perhaps most beautiful skiing area in Austria. Skiing can be done there on the prepared slopes until Easter. However, I was never there, knowing St. Anton only of pictures. Not really cheap it is there.
In Cambridge you live. A great city with an impressive history and tradition! To my shame, I must confess that I have never been in England. Of course I will have to catch up.
My dearest greetings!

UK... has decided to change...

Like parking a car in Phoenix :).
Arizona - that has a nice sound. Fantastic landscapes are there, but I only know of pictures. Must travel somewhere in my life there. Life is too short for all these miraculous beauties of this world...
