i knew this was yours. i didn't realize till now that you're in australia. wherever you go, you sure get to capture the most beautiful things. this one is magical with the light and the golden tone. aces, jerome. aces!
Many of us who follow you know its one of yours as soon as it appears! What a fabulous capture! As @gardenfolk says 'your signature tones of golden light and warm beauty'. Beautifully expressed.
Thank you for the information, Jerome! That's the same lens my cousin uses for bird photography! I see that you must have sacrificed ISO to get that fast speed, and the result was amazing.
@jyokota You are welcome! Yes, I had to take a larger ISO value. The lighting conditions in the evening are obviously unfavorable, if I want a sharp photo of a fast moving object.
And: No, I didn't use a tripod for this photo. As far as I remember, I leaned on a tree trunk.
So your cousin has the same lens and takes photos of birds - that's very nice!
great light Jerome...hope you enjoyed Mt Hart...we did many years ago. Such a remote part of the world...glad you have seen some of these wonderfully wild parts of Australia
@summerfield Thank you very much, Vikki!
This is a photo series I made of my trip to Australia. Last year, I was on the Gibb River Road, from Darwin to Broome. A brief introduction is available at https://365project.org/jerome/365/2017-04-10
And: yes, I love the light when it plays with the grasses and trees. This world is beautiful.
Thank you all for your kind comments!
I was lucky: nice evening light with a deep sun and the good circumstances in the outback. But the kangaroos were very shy.

Oh yes, I enjoyed Mt. Hart. I like to remember it. What a strong country this Australia is.
