Gibb River Road, somewhere between El Questro and Mt. Hart.

Kimberley, Western Australia
delightful Jerome...very evocative of the light and the dust and the colour of that region. You are the master of capturing the light.

I enjoy travelling around Australia with your pictures - sights I wouldn't have seen even if I had visited.

Just love it ... very evocative of the area ... :))

@chillen Daktari - that was a cult series in my childhood. The main characters of the series were the squinting lion Clarence and the chimpanzee Judy. In the German-speaking countries this TV programme was broadcast in the early 1970s.

@hrs @golftragic Thank you, Helen and Marnie, for your nice comments!
I am very relieved when Australians feel like I have been telling something authentic about Australia with my picture. Tourists sometimes do not recognize the essence of a place or region. Or interpret wrong. I do not want to tell nonsense.

The Gibb River Road is dusty in July and August. The savannah is dried out and heated by the sun. The streams and ponds in the gorges then appear like oases.

@jerome You have such an admirable affinity for Mother Nature and her wonders that I've never seen any nonsense in your posts Jerome. I enjoy your empathy with landscape very much.

@golftragic Thank you, Marnie!
So many beautiful experiences I connect with my Australia trip. I would like to present at least a glimmer of it with my pictures.
