365 pictures in a year - at the beginning I thought, I never can. That I succeeded is due to so many friendly and cordial people in this unique forum. I could not imagine that and it still moves me. I felt warmly welcomed from day one. This has encouraged me to stay and continue. Thank you for your so nice visits, kind comments and so many favs! So many people have given me so much of their time and benevolence.
Viewing your pictures was a daily inspiration by exceptionally dedicated people who love photography. It is a magic experience to learn how you interpret the world and to see its beauties with your eyes. The older I get, the more wondrous this is to me. It enriches me very much.
Very often I felt my limits of linguistic expression in English. So many nice comments of you I have not answered adequately. Often I thought I had to say more to your animating shared photos and was missing the words. Please be indulgent.
My job stresses me a lot. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to devote myself to photography as I would like. I must focus on my professional requirements. Times are not easy. The environment became more difficult and the tone turned rougher.
But I would still like to make short visits to this great community and enjoy your pictures. I hope I'll have more opportunities to take photos again - sometime.
I think of pictures that are like poems. I think of sentences that are like paintings in which colour and shape are in meaningful order. I remain a seeker. I think of a world where poetry and beauty are important - in what we are and want to be; in what we think, feel, do and how we treat one another. I believe in this world.
Now I wish you all the best deep out of my soul.
I say goodbye with a photo I took on my last day in Kooljaman at Cape Leveque, that wonderful place in Australia. You see the same bird from the previous photo. It's the bowerbird flying away.
My warmest thanks - especially to my dear followers!
May only good and dear cross your paths through life.
Jerome, I am so sad to read your goodbye. You have brought such beauty to this community through your photos and your words. I will miss your photos greatly. You set the bar extremely high for all of us and your kind and thoughtful contributions will be missed. I look forward to seeing your photos when you have time to visit. Best wishes and Good Luck to you.
You are such an incredible artist, I hope your job allows you to live that artistic life , at least part time. Your photographs are extraordinary, I will certainly miss seeing them every day. Take care of yourself, Jerome. I wish you well.
Sorry to see you go. I have enjoyed your pictures, participation, and comments to others (and my) pictures. Hope your situation rights itself soon and you can come back to rejoin us.
Jerome, I understand that you have stressful work commitments. I only hope that you will come onto 365 every now and again, and post some of your beautiful pictures with us. It has been a joy to follow you, and I hope to see more of your photos when time allows in your future.
Dear Jerome,
I completely understand, but do hope you will stick around. I am the worst for posting everyday. Besides working two jobs and babysitting my grandchildren in my free time, I work on a computer that is slower than running a marathon through molasses. Even though I do take pictures daily they often times sick on the sd card for a week until I have time to actually sit and upload them.
This is honestly the warmest community of photographers I have ever met and I love being here when I get the time to. You have always been so encouraging and kind. Even in a world filled with work and real life demands we all need a little downtime and to do something that we truly enjoy.
I truly hope you find time in your busy schedule to visit and post :-)
do continue even on an irregular basis. it's such a shame we wouldn't be seeing your photographs everyday but i should like you to give me/us inspiration every now and then. because that's what you are and your photographs, an inspiration. take care, jerome. see you around.
Oh Jerome, I completely understand your time-pressure problems and wish you all the very best. Your photos are a pure delight to see and your love and empathy with nature makes the images even more special. I hope very much that you'll pop in from time to time so we can see more of your outstanding work and enjoy your company. PS Your English language skills are better that quite a few Aussies I've met, added to which your English is 1000% times better than my German!! Adieu.
aaaaaah say it ain't so jerome :(
but i do understand, and when it's time to leave, it's time to leave
i certainly hope that you'll pop back in from time to time. your images and art and thoughts and words have inspired me from the start, and i shall hold onto that inspiration. thank you :)
Jerome, I will miss your beautiful shots, they have been wonderful and an inspiration. Good luck with you work, I do hope you find time to to play and keep taking photos. Hopefully we will see you back here soon.
Your work has been a true source of wonderment I hope that you can post now and then since it is your project and you set the rules. Photography is a form of communication so daily interaction isn't always necessary to stay in contact. I wish you the best and am grateful for all the work you shared.
So sad to see you go Jerome I have thoroughly enjoyed your photos. I do hope you will return one day when the stresses of work ease slightly. Wishing you well for the future.
Clearly, Jerome, you have a gathering of enthusiastic followers here on 365, and, having just read all the comments, you'll understandably be missed terribly! You need *never* apologize for your language skills; they're superior to many who were born to the English language! Your wording is always as artful as your exquisite images! You're correct that this is a loving and supportive community even when our skills and abilities are varied. The best talents here also looked up to you with the rest of us. You never ceased to give us much to aspire to. Though you've said good-bye, I, with the rest, hope you will come back as you're inspired. We fully understand the outside obligations and time constraints, but I hope you'll lend us the pleasure of your company now and then. My very best to you going forward!
Hello Jerome, my PC has been in/out for repair and now, after 7 frustrating weeks, it is finally working again i find you are leaving 365.
i will sorely miss your fabulously wonderful poetic world - which you have so generously shared with us on 365. you have given so many folk real pleasure and inspiration with your images/your way of depicting this wonderful planet.
i thank you for taking time to peruse my images and the beautiful comments which you left for me.
i wish you all you could wish for yourself. Take care Jerome and thank you. May your heart always be at peace.
I am so sorry you are leaving, but I do understand work takes priority. I will miss seeing your view of the world, and what a truly beautiful view it has proved to be. Very best wishes for the future. Thank you for sharing your world with us.
Auf wiedersehen Jerome. We will all miss your magical and beautiful photographs that have been an inspiration and wonder to us all. I am sorry that work calls but I hope you continue to look at the world through your eyes and lens, when time allows, and return when you can!!! Pass auf dich auf.
So sorry to read you are leaving. Your images have been some of the best I have ever seen here. You have a wonderful style and a great eye for beauty. Hope to see you return occasionally and good luck for the future.
It is so sad to see you leaving 365 but personal life and work life have to take precedence. I hope after awhile your life will settle and you have time to come back here. Your photos have been inspirational and your kind comments always appreciated. Thanks for sharing and caring :)
Congratulations on completing the project. Thank you for sharing your wonderful images with us. You have the eye to see the beauty in the world and capture that beauty with your camera. You have been an inspiration to me. All the best for your work life. I hope the stress eases soon and you can return here when possible.
No Jerome! Don't let us alone! Please find the time once in a while to come back to us with one of your astonishing fotos!and before you go…how did you make the one of the boys on the beach? What kind of pp? Best wishes for your future. Caterina
Congratulations on completing your project! I hope that photography continues to be a part of your life - for me, it offers a form of therapy. Having my camera in my hands makes me happy. I wish the same for you.
Jerome...you have shared much more than photographs with us all. I think the response you are getting from everyone is evidence you touched us all. Your photographs have been a total joy...recognisable in almost every instant as yours. I have particularly loved your ability to capture light and I don't think I will ever pick up the camera and not try harder to do better job of capturing the light. Thank you Jerome, you will be missed. I wish you every happiness.
Congrats on completing your year Jerome! You have inspired me with your many many spectacular images and have made me want to improve every day. I hope that you continue to view the world with your camera and come back to see how we are doing every now and again. Best of luck going forward in your life.
A wonderful and fitting photo to finish with. Congratulations on your year of photos. I am glad your will still be posting, I really enjoy your photos.
Thank you for enriching my life during the last year. It was a privilege and a joy to see the world through your eyes even if only in brief glimpses. I look forward to seeing at least occasional new shots from you, in the future and wish you all the best in your continuing journey.
What a sad day. Your fabulous pictures (each and every one) and your profound and poetic words, will deeply missed by me, and a lot of this great people here on this site. It was more then a pleasure to float with you for a year on the river of life and seeing what you see and capture so perfectly. Hope you drop in now and then. Take care!
It is strange how an exchange of photos and a pause to think and interpret can begin to feel like a friendship and then a bond. I confess to my heart taking a leap on seeing your photo and reading the title, as I shall miss your extraordinary photography, your sensitive commentary and your encouragement. You have given so much to the community here and congratulations on such a magnicifent album of extraordinary talented photography. I am so sorry that your profession is so stressful and demanding. I wish you well and hope that you find time, from time to time, to continue to follow your passion and gain strength from the marvellous creation around you. Hoping this is just au revoir.
Thank you Jerome for your vision. I loved your Austrian mountain pictures with the WW2 reminders of what is free and what is not.. We must remember that the best of us is out there with the wind and the sand and the light. Have loved your perspective. When you can continue. Thank you!
It's been a joy and learning experience to follow your beautiful journey. Your images have been filled with magic as are your words. I hope to see more of them when time allows you to stop by. Stay well and happy!
Many of us have been in a similar situation Jerome. Balance in life is not always easy, but I look forward to you popping in now & again. I have really enjoyed your images & your thoughtful comments. All the best!
So sorry to see you go as your photos are amazing. Thanks for commenting on mine. I have only got 80 pics to go and I don't think that I will be able to continue another whole year. I may just post a few from time to time.
Till we see you next time, or when you visit NZ.
Best wishes for the future Jerome. Your photos have been inspiring. I hope you can take time out again to complete another trip as amazing as your Kimberley experience. I shall miss your beautiful work.
God... so many so nice comments...

It affects me deeply to read so many so dear and warm words. Being part of this unique community is one of my most touching experiences in my life. Sharing photos with you is much more than just looking at pretty pictures. It is extremely enriching to make contacts with people spread across the globe. Your pictures and words reveal something miraculous: We are different as every flower and every tree in its appearance, every person is unique in experiences and view on this world. And yet there is something shared in feeling and thinking - beyond all walls and boundaries in this world: That we are human.
The daily demands have become more difficult for me and sometimes I am at the limit. I'm serious about photography. I wish I would have more freedom, relaxed mood and serenity for this magic kind of encounter with the world; more time for sharing my views with you - in pictures and words.
Please excuse my short answer. I would like to take more time later to reply more personally.
My thoughts are with you.
A hearty thanks!
I'm so sorry that you need to go. I always look forward to your photographs. They have consistently inspired me to be better. Your work is amazing, and I love the way you see the world. I appreciate the time commitment of photography and understand your need to spend your time elsewhere, but I'm going to miss your photos so much. Good luck. I look forward to your occasional returns.
An honor to be in this community for sure. May the Universe continue to treat you with the kindness and respect that you show it as shown in your work.
You are truly an artist and I do hope that the demands of your job lessen so you can enjoy your passion. I'm sorry I haven't been around to see your photos but just a few months. I do hope you'll come back when time allows and share your talents with us. Take care and God bless.
The farewells are very difficult, however thank you for being with us. It was a real pleasure to follow you, because your pictures were always extremely inspiring and they opened my eyes and mind for new ideas. I still believe that we will meet each other on the forum. Goodbye!
Dear Jerome, I am sorry to see you go but I do understand. It has been wonderful to see your photographs. You have a brilliant eye for a good picture and your processing skills have enhanced your work beautifully.
I agree with you - photographs are poems without words, just as music can be too.
I wish you all the very best and hope to see you on here again sometime if you find the time to come and say hello.
@777margo You, too! God bless you. Thank you for your dear wishes and your dear accompaniment with my project. Thank you for showing me your world with your pictures!
@casablanca Thanks - so dear lines... To see the beauties of the world and the beauties of thoughts and compassion in the encounter with a dear person - I think then very, very much meaningful happened. Thank you so much!
I will miss your daily photos and sharing the world through your eyes! I hope you find time to post occasionally. I understand the stresses of work... many times when I get home I'm so mentally exhausted that accomplishing anything worthwhile is beyond me... but days like today when I get to take and/or edit photos, I feel at peace again. I hope you are able to find that somewhere in your busy life :-)
@debbyglynn Many thanks for your kind words, Debby! I just know your photos and your smile - but in association with your lines this has become a very nice part of my life. It stays inside me.
To feel at peace again... I hope the times are getting better and easier, so I have more time for myself and what I like to do, the photography ...
My thoughts are with you and I wish you all the best in your life!
@joysfocus Thank you very much for your nice words! Now and then I will come to visit and enjoy your pictures. I hope I will have more time for myself and what is important to me.
Your impressive picture - so close to the clouds - I would like to do that now. On the way you are - how beautiful!
Forgive me for personally thanking you so late. Thank you for your kind words and wishes. They touch me very much. Your many nice comments - always so heartfelt and warm. You have a special place in my thoughts and in my heart.
I wish you a wonderful journey with many fulfilling moments!
@louannwarren Thank you, Lou Ann! Art - a great word for me. When I look at my role models in art, I am very, very small. I'm a seeker. In you I have found a very dear person with a great heart. Thanks a lot for your good wishes!
@jaybutterfield Jay, for me you're a "Sir" in the good sense. A heartfelt thank you for your kind words and your faithful accompaniment, which I was soon to know.
OH NO!!!! I am away on holiday and return to this, you leaving. This makes me so sad as I've really enjoyed seeing your wonderful photographs. I also left here for a while and have some big gaps in my 365 diary where I was absent but I had to return and now try the daily (well maybe twice weekly) post and catch up but I feel I need this for my sanity and to stay connected with all my wonderful 365 friends. I so hope that you will reconsider and return to share your gift with us all again but I understand the commitment this takes. Take care and best wishes to you my talented friend xx
@psychographer Thank you, dear Lisa, for your love and warm lines! They touch me very much. You are right: This community is unique.
Thank you for your wonderful attention, your dear companion and your pictures, which gave me insight into your world.
My thoughts are with you.
Oh this is sad news. I do love your images but I understand - I also needed to leave 365 for a long time and came back refreshed last year. I hope you find the time you need for yourself but do keep taking your beautiful photos and pop back in here when you can. I'll miss you. Xx
Jerome, your photos have inspired me so much. I think you have a great talent and I'm sorry to see you go. I too have been too busy to get out much lately, which is why I have only just seen this. I look forward to retirement next year so I can devote more time to what has become an obsession. Good luck.
Many congratulations, Jerome. I am so sorry you cannot devote as much time to your photography as you would like, it must be frustrating for you.
I'm glad to read that you'll try to visit from time to time, it'll be lovely to see more of your work when you are able to post.
@cmsch52 Thank you, Alison, for your kind wishes! I wish you all the best for your retirement. I have to wait a long time for this (11 years). I wish you a fulfilling time while taking pictures. Enjoy it! All the best!
@dulciknit Yes, I'm not quite happy at the moment. The professional costs me a great deal of energy and joy. I wish that it would be better again and more time for the photography.
I wish you all the best!
@jesperani Thank you, Jennifer, for your nice comment! I will continue admiring your great and unique pictures. I wish you only love and goodness in all your ways.
I'm so sorry to see you go, Jerome. I love your pictures. You are so talented and creative. Best of luck to you and I hope you will stop in from time to time. Take care. This shot is a Fav!
Hello Jerome,
I have been in and out (as I have been since I finished Year One) and I realized, I hadn't seen you around so I came for a visit only to find you having completed your project! I do hope you will come back for the occasional posting and visit. Meanwhile, I will be in Munich for the next two months . . . let me know if you're out that way!
@jyokota Excuse me, Junko, that I reply to your dear lines so late. I am very happy about your visit. So in Munich you are. I hope you have a wonderful time there!
At present, it is very difficult for me, the professional circumstances are not easy. I do not feel quite well. I hope it will get better again and I can devote myself more to photography.
Best regards
@jerome -- I was in the mountains yesterday, and looking towards Austria (very close) and thinking of all those wonderful images you've shared with us. I'm sending healing thoughts your way . . .
I'm at a loss. Your goodbye both eloquent and beautiful. I've missed you and came to see, only to read your goodbye. The world has become rougher in my eyes too (why I took a step back), but your Vision and art brought some of the tenderness back. Your work as does photography, reminds me that there is still much beauty and magic out there as long as we focus on itSo that we can magnify it! I hope you have an opportunity to pop back in. Your photography brought much love and happiness to my corner of the world. Much love to you sir.
@elatedpixie Warm thanks... How beautiful your lines are. They touch me very much. Amazed and moved by the beauties of this world, empathic understanding in all that we encounter - that makes the world human and enriching. The flowers, the sky, the clouds, glittering water of a tranquil lake in the setting sunlight, grasses swaying in a gentle summer breeze... a friendly smile, a warm embrace, a tender kiss... above all there is a special magic... I believe there is a lot of sense in our existence.
I wish you joy, happiness and love on all walks of your life - with all my heart.
Hello Jerome! Just dropping by to say hello and to let you know how we have missed seeing your presence and "golden gems" on 365. I hope things are getting better for you and that some of the stress has been relieved. I, too, am coming up on my one year anniversary on 365 at the end of September. I see and have awareness of so much more beauty around me. Be well and continue to look for those magic moments! Take good care of yourself and check in when you can! Hugs.
@gardenfolk Dear CC! Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm very glad about that. I like viewing your pictures, too. It's very nice to look at the world with your eyes!
My living conditions are not very good at the moment. But I hope for a time when it is better and I can dedicate myself again to photography and the dear people in this great forum.
Your hugs I very gladly accept and hug you back with great pleasure!
Lots of love.
Lovely final image. It approaches perfection. The only flaw I can detect is that it it is your final image. For now. Know that you, your vision, your many talent and you loyal membership to this community shall be missed. But we shall hold you to your stated intention to visit as you can. And hope that your visit will become more often as time goes on. As to you English language limitations, I can honestly say that none were ever apparent to me. And in regards to your many unforgettable images, I found that they universally managed to speak quite elegantly on their own behalf. Best wishes wherever your journey may take you.
I was surprised and happy to see a comment from you today. I sincerely hope things are better for you and you are finding the time to enjoy photography. You truly have a gift for creating special photos.
@jyokota Thank you, dear Junko! Please excuse me so late on your lines. They really touch me very much. In the mountains you were, close to Austria... What a nice Idea! What mountain did you visit? Very kind of you that you thought of me! I hope you had a great time in Munich. Lovely wishes!
@elatedpixie Please excuse me so late to answer your so dear lines. So warm and soulfully. Love and happiness ... so beautiful that my pictures delight you. It really touches me very much. Also from me many loves!
@fbailey@mbrutus@joemuli@lynnz Thank you all for your so nice comments!
How nice to see you again! I am really happy about your dear lines, the warm and hearty welcome. It really touches me very much.
I would like to try to post a picture every now and then. It will not be possible for me every day. But I would like to feel again this cordial and friendly atmosphere in this cummunity. It is so good for me to see your pictures, your way of looking at the world and when we talk to each other with words and images in soulful encounters.
