Exquisite in it's execution. What a magical rest place across the shimmering shiny lake. It gives the feeling of these two cyclists being inaccessible and truly able to enjoy their peace.
@helenhall Thank you, Helen, for your nice comment! I really enjoy your way of expressing and interpretation. I appreciate your refined style very much.
@casablanca Was die Radfahrer einander sagten... Es wird ihr Geheimnis bleiben... Und dies ist gut so: Somit können wir nach Belieben Vermutungen anstellen...
@carolscho Thank you, Carol, for your kind visit!
Schöttl... That's not an American name... Do you have ancestors from Austria? Schöttl sounds so Austrian.
@jerome Hi, Jerome! My husband grew up in Bavaria, I have lived here for 32 years and have made it home. Recently I met up with some long lost relatives in Basel, CH, and there may be ancestry in Austria as well. Working on that family tree! ;-) We love Austria and the Alps and so am happy to have found you, you have posted some really breathtaking high mountain photos. Do you prefer German when I comment?
@carolscho So your husband is a Bavarian. That explains everything, of course. Thank you for your kind words about the mountains in Austria. I like being in the mountains. They have a special meaning for me.
If you want to comment in German, then I would be very happy. But you can also stay with English. However I have to confess that writing in English is not so easy for me.
Thank you all for your so nice comments!
I like to stay at lakes. As you know, I live in a landlocked country - there is no sea here where I can enjoy the sight of vast expanses of water. So I like to stop at lakes. Some appealing lakes are in the region Salzkammergut in Upper Austria .
This picture was taken on the shore of a lake, not far from my home. I tried to capture the mood that generated light, water and trees in that afternoon.
