aging snow by jerome

aging snow

Sun and wind form the snow pack, create an odd formation.

Snowshoe hike on the Wurzeralm, Upper Austria.
Looks like a baked cake gone wrong. Really interesting!

it is beautiful, but if one has no respect for nature, it could be deadly, non?

Beautiful curves and shapes but looks dangerous to cross

This one brought me a smile - the ageing snow reminds me of aging skin - dimpled and wrinkled. That said, it is also beautiful to look at.

Again, it's the abstract quality that particularly appeals to me. That meandering line, the light, form and textures are great. I like the ambiguity too - it may be snow but it could be so many other things besides!

Ot reminds me of the pattern seen in lobes of the brain. Very cool shot of the snow!

@summerfield Respect for nature is generally a good attitude, I mean. This may be even more true in the mountains.
