The name "Krumau" derives from the German "Krumme Aue" - "krumm" = "crooked", "Aue" = "wet meadow along a river". The river Moldau makes an expressive meander here.

I have already been in Krumlov three times - for the first time more than 20 years ago. I can well imagine that I will visit it again. It is a small town with a lot of charm. Unfortunately, the marketing for tourism is steadily increasing - with all unpleasant side effects.
