Sometimes you want to pause... no more steps to hear... but listen to the silence...
And things start talking... amazing...
Dead the trees... are they dead...?
Long shadows... measuring the winter white earth like the hands of a clock...
Mild light from drifting clouds... giving an idea of the Eternal...
Where are we from... where are we going...
Amazing... Grace have the trees, the clouds and the sky...

I'm lost in admiration at this image Jerome. First, for the extraordinary subject matter, something I'm never likely to see first-hand. Second, for the quality and visual impact of your image, and third, for the skill to stitch 31 separate images together to make this single extraordinary piece.
Your photos are always consistently good Jerome, but this one is just truly amazing! I love the linear repetion of the lines of the trees which are then chord with the shadows
@hrs Thank you Helen, for your nice words! This light and shadow mood was indeed very special. The mountains give so much. You just have to stop and listen.
@golftragic Thanks, Marnie, my dear friend. I love to show you the mountains, the light, the sky and the clouds. My pictures are always only small sections, short moments, fragments ... I wish you could feel the snow under your feet, breathe the air, feel the sun on your cheeks; and experience how mountains stage themselves during the ascent ...
Oh my Jerome...you just can't hide the quality of your work! I don't think I've ever voted for an image in Ross' theme for the week, but when I saw the entries, I thought to myself that I wouldn't look to see who did them but pick the one that had that perfect quality of "Daylight". Cast my vote, and well, wonder of wonders, you're my choice to win it all! Beautifully accomplished...you never disappoint!
@Weezilou Thank you very much for your kind words...! They move me very much. For me, it's still wondering how images speak from one to another. A talking beyond words, but no less rich in thought and feeling. It is a wonderful experience how shape and colour connect people, creating contextes in so many ways... An experience that does not wear off with age, but deepens more and more.
Greetings to California... must be a wonderful place.
Thank you very much! I am overwhelmed by this great attention.
These trees, the light, the shadows, the sky, the clouds... it was an impressive sight. I very much hoped that this picture will tell about at least a glimmer of this mood.
Greetings to California... must be a wonderful place.
