There are guided hikes that lead to the giant afflesia, the plant with the largest flowers in the world (up to 1 meter in diameter). During my stay, however, the blossom time was already over. The hiking in the rainforest was still impressive for me. The rainforest has plenty of other sensations.
I would have liked to have spent more time in the rainforest. As is so often the case when travelling, one would like to be able to linger longer, to be completely embraced by the colours and shapes, the smells and voices of special places.
