It's MINE!

@koalagardens No matter how diligently the ground staff work, the Little Darlings (also known as students) seem to consider the lakes a suitable dumping ground for their rubbish. These gulls actually had 2 corks to play with. It wasn't always this way, there used to be pride in keeping rooms and campus tidy.
Hopefully the gulls will not suffer any harm. Thanks for your concern.

Great action shot, hopefully the gulls realize its not good for them and leave it.

@joev I agree, Joe. They'd been "playing" with sticks and then they found 2 corks which were even more fun for them.
I had been told the Great Crested Grebes were back - one day I will see the whole dance - but couldn't find them. Was told today about a Starling murmuration which I hope to see tomorrow. One off my wish list if I see it. Watch this space

@fbailey Thank you. Sometimes I surprise myself & get things right! Went out to play star trails tonight, flippin' cold, but there is increasing cloud. Hope it's clear tomorrow evening when we go to see the murmuration.

Excellent timing! Hopefully they realized it wasn't food and dropped it. Love the water splashes! Fav! :-)

@gaylewood They ARE at a University so we can only hope they are smart LOL. In reality, the gulls often play with and squabble over, things that shouldn't be in the water.

Great shot, squabbling just like children do, hope they did not try to swallow it.

@oldjosh These Gulls actually ARE children, less than a year old so squabbles are a major part of their lives. They never seem to come to harm so I suppose they are smart enough to know it's not food.
Thanks for the comment
