An apple a day

keeps the Blackbird alive.
Wild birds desperately need our help with food and water in the current extreme conditions.
This image is not the best - I apologise for poor quality. Shooting through double glazed windows which need a wash just as much as the birds need food doesn't lead to Ansel Adams quality pics.

Nice capture & to see others feeding the birds in this weather. I work in a kitchen and brought all the old bits of cake home last night .I shall put a feast out for them later .

@ilovelenses Thank you. My garden birdies are always well fed and I make sure there is fresh water too.

I only wish I could feed them. If I do the rats come into the garden and sometimes into the loft!!!

Terrific capture...especially considering it was through double glazed windows! I feed the birds year round but totally agree they especially need our help with food and water in extreme weather conditions.

@gaylewood Thank you, Gayle. Any shot into the garden from the house suffers from light deprivation except during the brightest days, but it means I have an insect haven and spend most of my time outside.
