puff ball

In case you cannot recognise this fluffed up, wet and bedraggled creature, it is a delightful beige & pink Long Tailed Tit checking that it is safe to visit the local birdie restaurant.

Had a few of these in the garden but they never stay still enough to get a shot. Great capture of this one looking a bit bedraggled:)

@featherstone26 Well spotted, Sue. In all the years I've photographed LTT I don't think I've noticed that before. He looked such a sad & sorrowful little birdie I couldn't resist adding another to the collection.
Many thanks,

@rjb71 Thanks, Richard. We have quite a few Tits flitting around at manic speed. In the last couple of years Coal Tits have decided to visit the birdie restaurant. Hope a LTT sits still for you soon.

@rjb71 They say practice makes perfect. Hmmm, must try patience one year!
Good luck!

no way that is so awesome!

@gardenfolk Thank you. He didn't go hungry and there is a very dense Ivy which shelters many birds in the winter months.

@joev This is the first time I've managed to photograph a LTT from the front when all puffed up. I hadn't realised just how cute and, dare I say "daft" they look?
Thank you, Joe

@koalagardens Looks quite ridiculous, doesn't it? But it obviously works.

When the big yellow thing hits the sky and brings light into my garden, LTT will be photographed and shown in all his pink & beige glory. They are the prettiest litle birdies.
Many thanks, Gayle.
