Chaos Theory

Otherwise known as play time.
The Olympus EM10 has a brilliant live composite function which stacks images using only new light sources and thus elimating blown high lights. Normally this would be a night time setting for star trails or aurora (I should be so lucky!).
This image is about 6 minutes of half second exposures of the sky with ND and polarising filters in the evening. It's so chaotic because I was zooming in & out, just to see what would happen. A daft, fun thing really.

Always good to play and experiment, especially when you get such a pleasing result.

wow that's quite an effect!

Cool effect. I have an Olympus M1, I'll have to check to see if it has this function.

@joev It does! It's EM10's big brother. I only use EM10 now for live composite images, hoping for Perseid success next month if I can get to a dark spot. Must remember to remove ND & polarising filters first.
Have fun

@julienne1 @koalagardens Thank you both. I had no idea what to expect and it wasn't intentional, I zoomed instead of focus, a fortuitous accident in my current fried brain state. So of course I had to repeat several times, just to see what would happen. This is the daft result.
