She came back by jesika2

She came back

Obviously a different Mrs B but for the 5th year I have Brimstone butterfly eggs and hopefully in early May should have baby caterbugs, weather permitting.
There are currently 16 eggs and I have a protective cage around the Alder Buckthorn which I'll remove tomorrow in the hope of further visits.

@julienne1 Isn't it? Will she come back, will I see her, will I be able to photo/video...
She's answered my questions, now I hope for more opportunities but will be happy if this is the only visit. The tiny Alder Buckthorn I was given in 2016 has brought so much joy and I have learnt a huge amount by watching, reading, studying these extremely photogenic at all stages butterflies.

@dogwoman @susiemc The eggs are slightly different in colour now as they age. With luck I'll have tiny first instar caterpillars this weekend. It's turning cooler again so they may be delayed. j
