@koalagardens I don’t know how many thousands of caterpillar births I’ve missed. Noticed the eggs were very strangely coloured today, missed one birth by seconds and caught this one just in time but with a different camera that couldn’t give me quite as close a focus. At least I HAVE shots of the birth - at last! Thank you.

@bkbinthecity @rhoing @yoland @fishers thank you very much. Mrs B laid 16 eggs but I can only find 2 tiny caterpillars. Attrition at all stages of insect life is very high so 2 from 16 is quite good, but i wish I had been able to save more. Hopefully I’ll find some at another site to raise through metamorphosis
