Sled Repairs by jetr

Sled Repairs

My husband's shop class often takes in community service projects such as repairing basket sleds which are heavily used all year long up here. They are pulled behind 4-wheelers and snowmobiles for hauling everything from wood, airport freight, caribou, moose, and even kids. During the winter we are often driven to the airstrip on one of these, sitting atop all our luggage! In these pictures he is having his high school students demonstrate for my 5th/6th graders how they tie the strong knots and set the braces.
So interesting, great to show in collage.
