Melting, but... by jetr

Melting, but...

Yes, it's 45 degrees, but the boats are starting to be pulled out of the river in anticipation of the big freeze. Any day now.
Gives me the chillls just looking at that.

Oh crikey, I don't know how you cope. It's 18 degrees Celsius here and I'm cold.

@moonmtn @cruiser @seattlite @jesperani @wendyfrost @golftragic LOL!! You all crack me up! I guess it's what you get used to! I'm tough! Thanks very much for your sympathetic comments. :-)

@jetr I guess you're right, we don't have temperature extremes where I live. We get some summer days over 40 degrees Celsius, but winter rarely gets below 5 degrees C. You can call me a wuss.

Silly question but I'd like to know. When you say '40 below' (in Farenheit) is that -8 degrees, or -40 degrees? When we had Farenheit (changed in the '60s) we never got cold enough for me to know.

@golftragic I don't understand how to do the conversions, but I looked it up and found that -40F is also -40C. (Right now it's +38F/1C) Thanks for asking!
