by Byrd Baylor. A very lovely book that I read to my students before going to find the perfect rock, the one special rock that "speaks" to us. It was another lovely walk outside before the rocks get frozen into the ground and then covered with snow...very soon now.
That is one of my favorite books! I even have a little dish on my desk with a couple of my favorites. I'll bet you students love this! I wish there were more rocks in our school yard!
