Golden Light on My Swimming Lake

I got to come home early yesterday and drove past the lake I swim a mile in every day when it is warm enough- one of my favorite places on earth. I arrived there at the golden hour. I love how the light makes the evergreens look two tone. It is way too cold to swim right now but the water was tempting nevertheless

@sabanford We are. When we moved here, we moved for the ocean but soon after realized that there are more than 17 lakes here. The one I swimming used to be so clean I could drink as I swam! Sadly not true any more. But there is less boat traffic in this lake than in the others that are big enough for a mile swim wiout having to do laps, so that keeps me swimming in this one
