We Each Have Our Own Way to Give Thanks to the Sacred Blessing of Sea Turtles
We spent the afternoon at the Place of Refuge a sacred space that was created for sanctuary when a tabu had been broken. Fugitives could be cleansed of their sin and then could return to their people without being killed. Now it is a place of refuge for sea turtles. I loved the stance of the two men, the carved beings and the two women all with their own way of being in the presence of such creatures. SOCC except for crop
