Not a very good picture but a selfie for Alison. It's interesting to look at it though because it makes it so clear that I am protective of my injured leg even when just standing. The lake got completely flat without a ripple when I was swimming after I took the photo-just the way I like it.
Oh well - a very acceptable wetsuit shot indeed!! You wouldn't get me in one (a selfie, not a wetsuit). How far is it across then? Looks like miles... Must be a relief to get the weight off your leg in the water.
@judithg@fueast across and back to the point to the left that got cropped out is roughly a mile. It's still too cold for me to do it...maybe in a week or so.
I can tell from this photo that it is your left knee that is sore ! I can't get over you swimming out in that lake but if you are brave enough it must be such a liberating thing to do !!! I only learnt to swim myself a couple of years ago so all new to me.
@happypat I suspect I was a water creature in a previous life! I just worry about the boats and whether or not they are being piloted under the influence or by some with dementia (lots of very old retired people live here)
The nuts in the boats is what prevents me from going to the Colorado River to waterski. You take your life into your own hands out there unfortunately.
I know you fell, but did you do really bad damage to your knee or is it just slowly healing up? I hope for the latter.
