Sunset at Bob Creek by jgpittenger

Sunset at Bob Creek

Best enlarged if you have time. I'm going to want to go back here for other high tide sunsets because I didn't quite capture the reflections I wanted to.
I'll be going to a workshop for the weekend so my commenting and posting may be sporadic. Thanks for looking

Love how the pinks reflect in the still water among the rocks contrasted to the waves rolling in!

Its a beauty, but I think you have a filter vignetting your lens when you stop down.
December 8th, 2012
You have a little vignetting going on with this one. Is that intentional?
December 9th, 2012
@webfootl @rvwalker actually the vignetting wasn't intended. I was using a variable ND filter and some thing about that seems to have done it. Not sure why? Advice?

@jgpittenger My guess is that you stacked two filters, perhaps the ND and a UV filter, so that one projects into the field of view of your lens. If so, experiment with removing the UV filter before adding the ND filter. Also, the vignetting effect increases as you stop down because more is in focus, so opening up can help. Good luck.

@rvwalker Thanks so much. Sometimes I feel like such a novice

@rvwalker My aperture Wes 7 though...hardly stopped down I'd think

@jgpittenger It must just be the two filters, then. Another possibility is a lens hood, but if you are using the one that came with the lens it should be OK.
