I Don't Like That Snow

Best viewed large. My friend who I was traveling with got sick so I drove out in 20 degree weather with scattered snow flurries in her truck to go to the refuge the first morning. I saw a shape in a tree that caught my eye and what to my wondrous eyes should appear but this beauty. Any bird people who know if this is a long eared or a great horned owl?

What a great find! I'm not an expert, but I think long-eared owls are slimmer. This owl favors great-horned owl characteristics.
