I must have shot this a thousand times before I got one I liked. I was dropping the strawberry into soda water but I think it had pretty much lost its fizz by now! This was part of my macro class homework.

hi Jane, try hitting this with some side light at exactly perpendicular to the lens. use a white reflective card (out of shot) on the opposite side to return some of your primary light back to the subject. an external flash is critical for shooting motion shots like the strawberry drop, but a table lamp can be used for more stationary subjects and longer exposures.
