This is a non zoomed in view of a shot taken a few minutes before the skies caught fire in yesterday's shot. I loved the light on the tree as well as the magical feeling of being able to see the Golden Gate, Bay Bridge, and Alcatraz way off in the distance.
Sorry for another filler. I have been toppled by this flu- it will be a week tomorrow and I still am in bed. Thanks for all your visits, comments, suggestions, favs, well wishes.
Love you have focussed on the immediate foreground....had to enlarge to get a look at that famous bridge...almost an after thought here & so it should be with this lovely tree & the light here.
I can't believe you are still posting while down with the flu. I hope you recover quickly. This photo shows a nice part of the Bay Area that few of the population ever see. It is nostalgic for me.
I quite like this shot...the dimensions of the tree helps to make the low horizon line work, but the things that stand out for me, is the sunlight on the leaves, as you mentioned, and on the rocks below the tree.
