I was watching the moon fall into the arms of the trees as Jim and I were translating Spanish together over coffee and had to jump up and get my long lens and catch it in the twilight sky. It was freezing (for OR, a mere 31 degrees F) but so beautiful. I sure have a lot to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day in the US...the beauty all around me, my wonderful loving family, a warm house, no bombs exploding around me, and all my friends on 365. Thank you all
What a lovely look at the full moon through those branches, against that rich blue sky. We do have many blessings, it is wonderful to take a day to count them. :) Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Fantastic scene with the arms cradling the moon. I like the sharp focus on the moon and the way the branches appear to be soft, rather than menacing. Have a great day today!
I loved your phrase "the moon falling into the arms of the trees" - the picture goes perfectly with that! What a lovely blue - your composition of this is terrific - moon not overwhelming but definitely the focus.
