Eagle Family

It was such an amazing treat seeing this eagle family and getting to shoot photo after photo that I wanted to go back and play with them using textures. Does it work? Best on black.

Great shot. And I prefer non post processed photos.......... Usually see eagles from a distance.... in trees, etc. This is different.

I'm not sure about the background, I think I'd like to see them in a more natural setting. I'd like to view this scene through the eyes of the photographer, it must have been incredible to see these 3 all together and I just want to be there too x

It certainly works for me--this is an instant fav. I like the contrast between the painterly background and the very naturally gorgeous birds. What beautiful beings they are.

WOW. i can't even believe this. i envy that 300mm lens and being able to capture this. fun with textures and it looks like a painting. i would love to see the SOOC version just because it's an amazing group of wildlife!

Magnificent capture A FAV

This is reminiscent of paintings you'd see in a museum--especially of the old west. Very cool processing.

Gorgeous. I'm experimenting with adding textures too. I think it gives more of an arty feel whilst without gives a straight nature photograph feel.

Oh gosh -- that is fantastic! How exciting to have this family show up and then pose! I like the clear juvenile with its parents, and it's great against the background. Was this in layers? It looks so natural that I couldn't tell.

@taffy Done pretty much completely in texture effects. I used texture and double exposure and the masking brush. Thanks
