For the 52 week theme 5th week entry...Black and White Landscape. We had a break in the constant overcast and storms so I went out for some dawn shots. When we firs moved to Oregon, I found the foggy wrapping of the trees and hills so reminiscent of Japanese scrolls. It still 36 years later often stops me in my tracks.
Thanks much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
A perfect way to kick of b&w month (are you doing this?). I wish we could have stopped the car yesterday driving back form Michigan. There were wonderful low hanging clouds and a layer of mist...but it wasn't too be. I love the layers in this -- each has its own focal interest.
@taffy@newbank@888rachel@golftragic@pamknowler And Taffy...I doubt i will do the whole month given I will be in Hawaii for 10 days of it and am now without my main computer for several days. argh. Sorry you couldn't stop yesterday.
Great layers in this landscape Jane. Your b&w treatment has produced a very tranquil and still feeling to this well composed shot. Certainly satisfies the brief for Week 5.
I love this - the fog is doing some really wonderful things in your landscape - what an amazing variety of tones in the b&w. Love the way it's composed. Just a spectacular shot. Fav
