Best on black I think. We are staying at a sweet little cabin in the middle of orchards and flowering plants. The owner has this beautiful huge inverted bell shaped watering spot right next to our lanai. All night and day it recycles the water making the see test sound of rain. The birds love it but mostly fly away when I come on their side of the screening but I did manage to get a few shots. Thanks so much for taking my mossy woods shoat to the TT. What a thrill. Thanks for your continued understanding of my absence from commenting. I think the birds are a saffron finch and a red chested cardinal
What's your locale, Jane? Not the right beak for a cardinal, might be some kind of grosbeak. I'm not sure about finch either... The color of the legs is a little different. Could be a meadowlark.
Your shutter speed is just perfect here to catch movement but not completely blur the wing. I don't know what these two cuties are, but it's a lovely shot.
How wonderful! You caught them just right. When you get home, I'd love to know where this place is and if you enjoyed it. Always looking for good spots to stay in Hawaii. Have a great time there!
@catwhiskers it is wonderful...rented through VBRO, just above Kealakekua Bay. The name of the owner is Charles Cope. I'll find out from him how to contact him if you let me know you would like that while I'm still here...another week
@jgpittenger That would be great Jane if you wouldn't mind getting contact info for me. We love the big island! I wish I was there right now:-)) Have a GREAT time!
