Jim had eye surgery in Eugene this morning so we stopped to check out the eagle nest. There is only one eaglet this year and I had a wobbly tripod and point and shoot camera but I thought it was so adorable. You may be seeing more of this!

@lubybee The Nikon coolpix P900 zooms to 800mm. It isnt as sharp as I would like but it sure has a long reach. I'm going to try to go back tomorrow with a shorter zoom but my D810 and see what I get
@jgpittenger wow, I just mistakenly bought a battery for the cool pic and know nothing about it. I'm going to look into it. Does your eye and timing come with it?? :-)
Instant fav, this is so sweet and tender, all the more so as it involves birds to whom one doesn't generally apply those adjectives. I hope the eye surgery went well.
