I went back to Eugene with a friend and my Nikon. The light was hard to expose for but we got to watch mom feeding her baby. Awesome!
Thanks much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
What an awesome experience that must have been - even managed a darn good shot of it to share with us. Love the open mouth of the eaglet and the eye of mom. Fav
@happypat there is a path in a park in Eugene that goes up high with the base of big trees far below and some Eagles have been nesting in a tree at about the same height as the path though far away. The people who are getting really good shots have 600 mm lenses with extenders or more. My longest lens...and it's not very sharp...is 500 and my cool pix that I took the other shot with goes to 800 but it's a glorified point and shoot. So it's thrilling but the shots always a bit disappointing to my eye
@jgpittenger It's wonderful that you are allowed anywhere near the nesting Eagles, in the uk I think there would be great secrecy & of the location & perhaps even a ring of no go area. Perhaps you are lucky enough to have an abundance of these birds breeding!
