You may remember the shot I posted last October of a kayaker taking his kayak off a high rocky cliff into a waterfall...This was the shot I was trying to set up when he photobombed my shot and made me pick up my gear quickly to follow the action. After I photographed his and his friend's leaps, I came back and took the shot I had planned.
With 4 more inches of rain and high winds, I've been looking through some photos from last Fall that I've not posted or finished processing before and came upon this one. It is actually one of my favorite shots from that trip so I'm not sure why it never got posted or processed before. You can see my monotone version in my extras album.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs and for your sweet response to my first high key experiment yesterday.
In every way you took a beautiful setting for this river and turned the water into flowing perfection...this is just gorgeous! I suppose we all surprise ourselves now and then when we find a lovely "unused" photo... Glad you saw fir to bring this into the light!
Jane, thank you so much for your very kind words. It felt better to do that piece, and the outpouring has helped me to move forward. ...we're not done!
I can certainly see why this is one of your favorite images. There's an enchanting, magical and peaceful quality about it. I love how you treated the water. Looks like a place I'd love to spend some time!
