Black and White Zebras and Cape Elands

Best on black. Another shot from my trip to Wildlife Safari. I really liked the way the light was shining on the cape eland and how the zebras seem to be looking at the light as well. I only wish I had gotten my focus on the eland in the light instead of the zebras.
Thanks much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Where was the photo safari?

@taffy It is a place in Winston OR. They have nice spacious places for the animals trying to make their environment as good as it can be for them. There is another Wildlife Safari in Bandon that is horrifying

@jgpittenger Thanks. Your photos look good of course, in and of themselves, but the animals also look healthy and natural. It looks like it's about 3 hours from Portland...thinking ahead to next May and doing something after Alex's graduation weekend.

Interesting to read where this place is - very exotic animals and so good using B&W!

@taffy that would be so fun! Best to do with only two in the car so one can drive and the other slide from one side to the other to shoot from both sides of the car and then swap drivers

Excellent use of b&w to make the best of the lighting. They almost glow.

I like the fact that they are all overlapping, like a snippet of the circle of life. Nice subject for B+W treatment too.

@jgpittenger Quite do-able as we both have a license! I'll keep you posted as plans develop at our family's end.

Even though you would prefer the focus slightly different, I still love this, great light on the zebras, and great in b&w!
