We took wonderful long walks with our daughter while in Md despite the miserable weather. One thing you have to say about overcast skies is that they bring out the colors! We saw lots of Canadian geese with large families but this pair really caught my eye with their extreme protectiveness.

So cute! I had a flegling Cardinal (learning to fly) accidentally make a turn into my garage (he's not steady, but "can" fly). Poor thing was really scared and I was trying to direct him out the door! The cardinal couple have about 4 they are training, which is great--all around my house daily. It's like "flight school" here!
