Male Cardinal with Dinner

I've not seen cardinals on the Oregon Coast so I was pleased to get to capture a few shots while we were in Barrington and tickled that I got one with a worm in his beak.

We are so used to them coming to our deck for seed that it is unusual to see a cardinal with a worm. I guess they need their protein as well.
