Best on black if you want to see the seagulls. Thanks so much for your well wishes yesterday. I feel lots better today enough so that I got up in the dark to go photo the full moon falling into the ocean. Does anyone know why the full moon gets such a funny shape as it goes to the horizon?
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs and for taking my peeing hummer to the PP!
When I saw the moon this morning (from Seattle( I remember going out to capture it in Florence and it was foggy. That was a 4AM wake-up call. Still nice to see your shots. I’m trying so hard to resurrect my project. My Travis has jumped back in, Travis Bourland / docboot
Fabulous shot, love that glowing moon. I think the distortion is probably due to refraction through particulates in the atmosphere and/or different heat in different layers of the atmosphere.
I heard that the moon this morning, as it set, was a brilliant red. I was even up at the time, but just hadn't looked outside to find it. So, I'm setting the alarm for tomorrow morning in hopes it will be another good one. Your shot is fantastic and inspires me to actually get up when the alarm goes off!
